Jackie valles

Speech Therapist

Jackie is a speech therapist at The Sammy Center and the founder of Black Lab Speech Therapy. She earned her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Utah in 2018 and spent five amazing years working in early intervention—coaching parents and supporting little ones with speech and language delays. After becoming a mom two years ago, she decided to pour her energy into growing her private practice. At Black Lab Speech, she works closely with families of toddlers and school-aged kids who need support with language delays, speech sound challenges, or feeding difficulties. She is all about practical, play-based therapy that helps kids grow confident and connected.

jessica raymond

Physical Therapist, DPT

Jessica Raymond is a physical therapist and the director of the Mountain Land Physical Therapy Salt Lake West Clinic.  She treats adults and children, with a specialty in pediatric care.  Jessica has a special interest in treating infants, patients with developmental delays, congenital and developmental conditions, and neurodiversity.

Jessica earned her bachelor's degree in health sciences from Oakland University and her doctorate of physical therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.

Jessica is passionate about early intervention and is excited to partner with The Sammy Center to provide assistance and recommendations on positioning and play for young children to promote age-appropriate gross motor development.

Tracy Halverson

Teacher

Tracy has been in the childcare field for over thirty years. As an owner, operating her own family child care business for over sixteen years, and a Head Start and private school teacher for roughly eleven years.

Tracy has a deep passion for the Early Childhood Field and is a strong advocate for children. Her vision is to always take children on adventures where they can investigate new ideas and form their own thoughts and ideas through hands-on and open-ended learning experiences. She believes every child is unique and learns at their own individual time, and everyone deserves to learn through their own learning style, with family as an essential part of learning. Together, we will create opportunities to create a win so that the child and family will achieve their goals and dreams. Tracy is a mother of four adult children and six grandchildren.
