Awards and Recognition

 This honor is given to a local company, organization, or business in appreciation and recognition of their dedication to training the next generation of the workforce through real world experience. In November 2025 The Sammy Center received this certificate of appreciation.

Every year the community votes on their favorite businesses. There are 5 categories that businesses get nominated under, Best Retail, Best Restaurant/Bar, Best Service, and Best NonProfit. In 2024 The Sammy Center was voted Best Nonprofit.

How We Grow Matters Award honors programs and organizations that advocate for early childhood education and support families. These organizations and programs create language-rich environments, help families engage in nurturing interactions with young children, and foster brain development. The Sammy Center received this award in 2024.
